Once

I watched Once awhile back, loved it, and have been meaning to make Ush watch it with me ever since.

We did so today, and just like the first time I saw it, the atypical ending brought me to tears – not quite sad, not quite happy, just real.

And I’m so glad that Ush really liked it as well.  An afternoon very well spent.

(Random but true: We recognised, before it was stated in the film, that the leading lady was Czech when she greeted her mother with “Ahoj” and when she told him the Czech for ‘thank you’ which we already knew as well We may or may not have felt really cool.)
