Ah. The story of my life. I don't know, but I feel like in the past year or so, my PMS -- or PMT (whatevs) -- has gotten worse. It's like I'm a completely different person. I cry at EVERYTHING. I'm glad I'm not the only one whose hormones are a little cranky at times. :) Miss you!!

Thanks for blogging about your cycle...it's something that is such a regular part of our lives, but that we always treat as something unmentionable.

About a year ago, I read an incredible book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It gave me an amazing understanding of how my body works, and I wish I'd read it when I was 13. Chris and I had been trying to get pregnant for over a year, and after reading the book - I figured out when I was actually fertile, and we got pregnant a month later. We're now NOT getting pregnant because I know when I am fertile and we can use contraception or abstinence during that window.

Anyways, I now own two copies of the book and am in the process of making every woman I know read it because I think our cycle is often a bit too mysterious to us - especially for those of us who have irregular cycles that don't fit into the text-book 28 days.

All that to say, if you can find it in the library, it's definitely a book worth reading (it's worth buying if you can't find it)

Thanks for sharing your PMS story - I'm right there with ya! (Although, thanks to exclusive breast-feeding, I haven't had a period in 5 months!)
