Ush had to leave while I was still in the shower, so I tried to hurry up and finish so that I could take over on Doggy Watch. (Duties include: 1) keep at least one of them in your sights at all times, 2) know at least vaguely what the other one is doing, 3) make sure that when they’re together, they’re not humping or trying to get humped (respectively).)
The humping and the flirting and the needing to be kept in separate rooms stuff has slowed down A LOT. We’re totally on the home stretch with this CRAZY DOG IN HEAT thing, and by this time next week we should know for sure whether or not their respective hormone levels will reach a pleasant equilibrium and (the important one) whether their behaviour will reflect that. (Plainly stated, if Toby keeps humping her AFTER her season, then we really can’t keep her. And I will be g.u.t.t.e.d. But, to say the truth, I really don’t think it’ll be a problem.. He only does it when she’s been badgering him (aka – slapping him in the face with her hind end).
Anyway!! I digressed a bit. The reason for this post is to show you what I saw when I got out of the shower, ready to resume Doggy Duty..
