the she that is me

I’m an American living in London. I am married to the love of my life, the man who is my perfect complement. He’s a training manager in the Customer Service department of a major public company. I work at a job for which I am overqualified, but I like what I do and I earn a decent living, so you can’t really ask for much more than that. We have two children dogs – both are bouncy and cuddly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and we absolutely adore them.
To us, this life is pretty darned ideal. (Or it will be once we have our own home and a few more furry four-legged friends!)

I like to spend my time reading, laughing, having tea and toast for breakfast, buying used books, experimental cooking, watching telly, eating sushi, browsing in thrift stores, drinking cheap wine, travelling, taking longs walks in the woods with aforementioned Husband and Dogs, sleeping in, singing in the shower, blogging, and reading blogs.

I am sickened by mean people. I also don’t like mushrooms. I’m learning to eat tuna and salmon, because I know they’re good for me. I want to be thinner, but can’t really be bothered to do what it would take. I think that the eradication of greed would solve nearly every problem in the world. I have an acute weakness for Nutella. I am fascinated by the addition of vitamins and minerals to one’s diet and often feel slightly panicked over trying to incorporate them all.

I try to remember that I am fabulous in my own way, as I often feel in awe of the fabulousness of [see Blogroll and insert any of those names here], which then leaves my mind blank, unable to conjure anything of comparable quality.
